services
After 10 years in business, YourWebWorks's portfolio is now extensive, so we thought we'd present some of the best from each category of our design services. These are by far the best representatives of our skills over recent years and should give you an idea of what breed of site or design will work best for you.

Some of the websites are live today, some have come and gone, and some were designs that were pitched but didn't become a reality, but we still felt them worthy of inclusion here. If you like any of these styles and you are looking for design work yourself, please don't hesitate to contact us.

This site uses no Flash what-so-ever and all the video content is fully iPad and iPhone compatible.

website design
NDCS website   Family Sign Language website (NDCS 2010)

Responsible for the core design and functionality of this ground-breaking website, YourWebWorks was sub-contracted by REMARK! to conceive and build a unique and engaging website to help parents better interact with their young Deaf children. The site was beautifully illustrated by our favoured artist, Bryon Fear of Keyarts.

Video was shot and supplied by REMARK! with the library game section created by a third-party agency.

deafab website   Deafab! website (2011)

Created for a Deaf LGBT group in Bristol, this Flash-based multimedia site has already recieved many incredible reviews from the Deaf community for its primary use of British Sign Language video over written English content to deliver information on the event. This is a fantastic example of our ability to meet the needs of the client and target audience.

All video content was shot in High Definition and edited in-house using our new Apple Mac-based facilities.

deafab website   Under The Lamp (2010)

Created for Deaf TV talk show, Under The Lamp with Carolyn (first series) The site was sub-contracted to us by REMARK! at the same time as we built the NDCS Family Sign Language website (above) for the company.

While REMARK! shot all the video on this site, the rest was created by YourWebWorks from a single still image of the set, which we heavily Photoshopped to brighten the end result.

freedom air website   Conner Reeves' website (2007)
Our proudest piece of work to date. When London-based soul singer Conner Reeves was making his comeback, his management had no ideas about design, so we set about developing an entire concept, designing a set, sourcing and hiring the props and setting them up at James King's photographic studio in Bristol.

Post shoot, James delivered the amazing image, which we then had to manipulate a little and the pure Flash web design grew organically around the shot. This is a beautiful example of what Flash is about with its surprising concept, its audio and video being embedded right into the image.

freedom air website   Michael Hughes Hypnotherapy website (2011)

This entirely HTML site was built for Bristol-based hypnotherapist, Michael Hughes. All the images used are royalty free stock images, easy to purchase and can really add a sense of quality to a project if selected carefully.

We also designed the complete branding for Mike's business and developed the idea of the stones being representative of the skilful balance we seek to achieve in life.

freshwater hughes website   James King Photographer's website

For Bristol-based photographer, James King, we really didn't need to swamp his quite beautiful images with unnecessary clutter. His work speaks for itself, so using it in large format in this pure Flash based website was the perfect way to merge the two.

YourWebWorks updates the site regularly on James's behalf; therefore the site was built in such a way as to accommodate this requirement.

freedom air website   Four Square Design, 2007.
Built for another local print design agency, this site is pure Flash and uses the very latest version of the software to produce a very sleek and sophisticated rotating menu system to show-off the company's massive portfolio of work.

The images themselves are easily updateable as they are loaded from external jpeg files using an XML file. See how fast this carousel actually loads...

moonlight jewellery business card   Moonlight Jewellery Business card
Tied-in with the over-all branding of her website, local client, Suzy Hannubuss asked us to create an appropriate logo design for her business, Moonlight Jewellery, in which she hand-crafts some really exquisite jewellery.

We took the colours, tones and hues from the jewellery itself and created this subtle and delicate design.

freshwater hughes website   Hughes Hypnotherapy promotional materials

Bristol-based hypnotherapist, Michael Hughes also asked YourWebWorks to develop and design all of his multi-faceted business literature and promotional materials.

Michael wanted a clean look with typefaces to appeal to a broad audience, but also the occasional more stylish design to tap into the younger market of professionals.

The balanced stone column was developed to represent the balance each of us strives from in life.

freshwater hughes website   Goldust Promotions launch promo
To launch their shiny new multimedia website, London-based Goldust Productions also asked us to design an A5 postcard to mail-out to all of their existing and potential clients.

We designed this to mimic the website itself and added bolder typeface to really get the message across.

d ploy software packaging   Dploy content management software packaging

Developed for a Content Management System, this packaging, design sadly never became a reality as the product itself was shelved by the client.

Several designs were also produced for other proposed software packages and full branding developed with logos.

freshwater hughes logo   Todd Gordon album artwork

Edinburgh-based recording artist, Todd Gordon commissioned his new album artwork from YourWebWorks after we had previously built both of his promotional websites.

The cover image was supplied by Todd and manipulated by YouWebWorks. The internal photography was stock imagery. A really nice touch on this is the glass sitting on the bar on the actual CD, but not there when you remove the disc.

conner reeves cd single artwork   Conner Reeves CD single artwork
This CD single artwork was the first piece of work we produced for London-based soul singer, Conner Reeves.

The internal photograph was supplied by the client while the cover image of the leather jacket's pocket detail was shot especially for this project. This same jacket was later draped over the back of the sofa in the shoot we arranged for his website to unify the packaging to the site's design.

freedom air logo   Freedom Air corporate logo
When Freedom Air asked us to redesign their entire branding, the brief was simple; it had to look expensive. The design was all to tie-in with a brand new website, advertising and print literature.

We selected a strong palette of navy blue, bronze and white and followed this through to the actual aerofoil logo.

YourWebWorks also developed the strap-line for the company.

freshwater hughes logo   Freshwater/Hughes logo
London-based artist management company, Freshwater/Hughes wanted a funky new branding and logo to represent their business when their new website was built (also by us).

YourWebWorks developed the idea of 'access' to musicians and used the now familiar shape of the wrist-tag security band. For the fonts, given the two very different personalities behind Freshwater/Hughes, we wanted to get that across in the typeface. Finally, we thought-up the strap-line "Your other window to the soul"

various corporate logos   Essential Kit branding (2010)

From the name itself to these finalised conceptual point-of-sale items, YourWebWorks helped the company behind the Essential Kit project to create a sophisticated and expensive-feeling brand. We've also played a fundamental role in designing potential store-fronts and applying this branding to various items the company is considering selling to better help them visualize their own style on the high street.

Hopefully we will see this name appearing in shopping centres in the near future once the company's plans are finalised.

Conner Reeves photo shoot image   Conner Reeves photo shoot
In conjunction with our own client and network team member, James King, YourWebWorks conceptualised this room set to represent Conner's apartment. We sourced all of the props, transported them to the studio, set-up the shot and had the artist arrive from London in the afternoon.

Minor elements of the shot were retouched in the computer to add a night-time city-scape outside the window and revitalise some dead leafs on the plant. For animation purposes, elements of the reel to reel were shot separately.

Moonlight Jewellery product photograph   Moonlight Jewellery product shoot
YourWebWorks regularly takes product shots for jewellery maker, Suzy Hannubuss and her business website, Moonlight Jewellery.

These shots are then often retouched to remove specks of dust or fluff from the black backgrounds and make the colours a little richer.

Tailored Solutions office shoot   Tailored Solutions office shoot
For their website, Tailored Solutions wanted some shots to bring the energy of their company to the clients and candidates.

YourWebWorks visited their Cardiff offices and candidly photographed the staff working from distances to maintain a natural and un-posed feel to the shots.

These were all shot in natural light and without using a flash.
